Reviewed here; recommended by Maria Haskins in Locus.
“Ten and Out” by Myna Chang is a rollicking, action-packed tale that involves a guild of assassins, double and triple crosses, and the very nifty idea of tattoos, specifically tattoo ink, being used to transmit data. In this story, the number ten, as in ten completed missions, shapes the protagonist’s actions in a tale about desperate choices, and the desire to wipe the slate clean and find a new life, if you can just survive the old one. —Maria Haskins, Locus
