Disinhibited in Mad Scientist Journal!

One of my writing goals for 2019 was to have a story published in Mad Scientist Journal. It’s a great publication, always filled with fun stories and cool artwork. I’m thrilled my story Disinhibited is featured in today’s online edition.

This story began in the New York City Midnight 2019 short story contest. It was for Round 2, and my prompts were Action/Adventure, A Rescue Worker, and A Handicap. It follows combat search and rescue specialist Lana McGee, and her partner Diamond, a Hero-Class German Shepherd. Their mission is to rescue a research scientist at his secret jungle lab. I had a lot of fun with it.

The Mad Scientist Journal Autumn 2019 print edition came out a few weeks ago. The cover is gorgeous, and it’s filled with lots of great speculative stories. If you’re interested in buying it, here’s the link to the publisher’s site. Of course, I bought a few extra copies for my family (whether they wanted the book or not!). Maybe I’m biased, but I think the book would look great on your bookshelf, too!

I hope you enjoy the story.
